The outreach program offered a wide array of medical services tailored to the unique needs of the elderly. This included general health assessments, blood pressure checks, blood sugar screenings, medication consultations, and referrals for further treatment when necessary. The elderly attendees were also educated on preventive healthcare measures and provided with essential health resources.
The CEO of Pethan Love and Care Foundation, Mr. Peter Oladoye while speaking emphasized the need for everyone to take care of their health most especially the elderly. He said health is wealth, there is a need to be healthy to be alive. He promised to continue on the part of taking care of the elderly. Representing the host community Oba Onisapa of Isapa, who was also at the outreach for a medical checkup appreciated the Pethan Foundation for the good gesture, he expressed his gratitude to the outreach team and encouraged them to do more to include everyone in the future outreach.
Beyond medical interventions, the program emphasized the importance of health literacy and empowerment. Educational sessions were conducted on topics maintaining a balanced diet, staying physically active, and adhering to medication regimens. These sessions empowered the elderly participants to take charge of their health and well-being, fostering a sense of self-efficacy and resilience.
